Just was doing a look through of the new 2.0 rules and the force lists for Age of fantasy Skirmish, and I was surprised to see that a good chunk of armies had choices which in the previous edition came as 3 models have been reduced to only one model but at a higher relative cost than what they used to be?
For instance Orc Warriors and Feral Orc Warriors are only one model now, but 15pts each instead of 25pts for a unit of three? In my games, I found that the higher number of dice that the three warriors rolled in combat was the only thing that offset their pretty bad 5+ Quality when fighting better quality troops. Seems like now a 4+ or higher Quality model is going to just get slaughtered by any better quality model as that model fights back in hand to hand combat, when at least before one or two of the attacker's fellows might survive to fight again.
What's the rational for the change, might I ask? It only seems to be on some units, where units such as Human Infantrymen, Ratmen Warriors/Slaves, and Dwarf Warriors for example remained unchanged in size.
