Looking over the rules and a few lists, little work actually needs to be done to play games of AoF:S on either dungeon tiles or a dungeon board. If anything, it seems that the biggest decision is whether or not to convert inches to squares(and/or hexes) or keep it a free-movement system.
In my experience using a ruler (or maybe pipe cleaners clipped to the right length of 6") is just as fast if not faster than counting squares, so I'd keep the normal rules of measuring for movement. I've played D&D many times with tape measures and it seems to go as fast or faster than the squares.

I would say to ignore the dungeon tiles for a more fluid feeling game, but if you really want to use them, most games use 1" squares, so just use the squares. I'd suggest if you are doing this then no diagonal movement since it gives a big movement advantage.
