Do vehicles/alien beasts and heroes need to take morale tests under any circumstances?

Also or a unit like this Light APC [1] 4+ 2+ 2x Heavy Flamethrower (12”, A6, AP(1)), Crew (A1) Does that mean the the light apc fires 6 times or since 2x heavy flamers, 12 times?

Yes, vehicles can take objectives.
Also the Light APC has 2 Heavy Flamethrowers, so it fires 12 shots.

Theoretically no, but if you want to have units shooting out of open transports go ahead.

Hi there
I had a bit of a conundrum during a game today re morale tests in AoF. The rules for morale tests (p16) say that a unit takes a morale test "whenever it takes wounds which bring it down to half or less..." or "whenever it loses a melee fight".
However, the rules for melee combat (p15) say "Note that in melee only the loser takes a morale test regardless of casualties."
Does that mean that the "...half or less..." situation only applies to shooting and not melee? If it applies to melee, does the morale test get taken immediately, i.e. if the charging unit inflicts sufficient damage to trigger the half-or-less situation does the target unit get the opportunity to fight back before the morale test gets taken?
The decision taken at the time (it was an AI game, so no hard feelings between players, just want clarification for future situations) was that the rules on p15 take precedence as they are clearer, and the morale test was taken at the end of the melee by the loser; and even though the winner was at less than half wounds as a result of the melee, it didn't take a morale test because it won the combat.
When v2.8 gets published I think it could benefit from some clarification on morale tests.
Still loving the games.

Morale has had a number of clarifications, and still gets questions.
I wouldn't say only shooting, because there are dangerous terrain tests and magic/psionics. So melee: loser takes morale test. All other situations: unit going under half takes morale test.
