Thanks! But you should contribute to the thread, don't tell me you don't have plentful to show. To keep the ball rolling, I'll add here a video-tutorial (not by me) to create containers from trash. Made a couple myself and they're very straightforward to build, yet quite effective once properly painted.

Working on a new building, probably inspired from that Gothic Buildings tutorial (I am fairly sure I watched it.)
Also my new 6"x3"x2"x1" measuring tool there (saw something like that in a battle report and decided to make one late last night).

Love the little details like the windowsill and the broken glass panes, but the part I like the most is the buttresses. They look super solid, and I'm a sucker for aesthetically pleasing buttresses.

Can you tell more about those houses, how to make them i mean? I'd love to have a few of my own.

I will start by pointing you to 2 youtube channels that I bing watched a while back because they will explain the techniques better then I can
houses are each 5 3"x3" squares of the foam from a posterboard, with the paper removed and then textured with the ball of aluminum foil technique (I think I should have pressed slightly harder). Corners are thin strips cut to be as wide ad they were thick, also textured. Doors are 1"x1.5", both aluminum foil textured then shallow cut + pen/pencil method for the board definitions, and a few more scratches to try to add some grain lines. Window shutters are the same as the doors, but 1"x1" squares, then the overhang/window sill added above/below.
They were then hot glued together as seeing in the pictures.

I now have the terrain and some armies to do a battle inspired by this one: onepagerules.proboards.com/thread/687/pics-skirmish-gameMine doesn't look quite as nice and needs a bit more vertical. Bigger pics here: photos.app.goo.gl/agUb5UKZU6dP2fn28Edit: Just realized that when you click on these pictures, they are plenty big enough ... To be honest, the lava doesn't look as good as it does in the pictures. I got a bright orange cloth and sprayed some red on it. The yellow airbrush paint I tried to brighten some parts with doesn't show at all. I should have gotten a yellow cloth, then added orange, then red. My 6mm sci-fi attempts, at least when individually mounted, are intended to be quick and cheap (because I already have). Battle to come. Willing but not enthusiastic wife busy for a bit, and then some vacation. Will play when can. andy

Willing but not enthusiastic wife busy for a bit... I hear you. My wife is a wonderful person that indulges my hobbies... but if I push her too far past miniature boardgames, she starts glazing over. Good thing I have teenage sons! And love the table. Far more scenic than my games involving cereal box buildings and coke can silos! The detail of the 6mm units is a bit fuzzy to tell from here. I assume printed, but are they FDM or SLA/DLP?
