I've got an army list for The Dead Kingdom. These are my own undead army, using the Dead of Dunharrow figures from Games Workshop's Lord of the Rings line. They are lead by the Dark Ones, with the Ringwraith figures, including one on wyvern, represented by a ringwraith on "fell beast". There are Dead Knights, using Morgul Knights. And lots of spiders. DeadKingdom.docx (502.1 KB) I made a couple of special rules, including Hammer, which gives AP(2) on charge. Also Brood Mother, which is just Hero except that the really big spider can only join a unit of other spiders. andy

I have a few more figures to paint. I did the dead as somewhere between zombies and skeletons. But I am thinking of doing the king and the banner holders as spirits. That is partly because they were sculped more like spirits, and I would have to cover empty spots and lack of feet.
But my story is that the Dark Ones took power and destroyed the kingdom in their quest for more. I think the king should be a character but not the general. He was robbed of authority centuries ago.
And the heralds/banner bearers would be fine as spirits because they would use the Command Group rule, and would stand out so I wouldn't forget and count them as regular figures.
Still thinking about it.

andyskinner, I like the combination of figures, using Ringwraiths and Dead. Well done with your photo battle reports. It was really refreshing to go through a battle report like that.
