Just a quick question without going into depth on tactics and uses of squadrons...Is the limit on the number of squadrons that a fleet may have based on a "fluffy" concept that smaller craft rely on capital ships to operate (fuel, munitions, etc.), and the capital ships can only support so many? Or is there something about "swarms" of squadrons that would break the game in some way if players could fill their rosters with nearly all squadrons? Thanks for insight on this.

It's both for balance and to set the right feel for the game. If a player could take a lot more squadrons it would shift the balance of the game significantly. If you're curious, I would recommend building some skew lists that heavily lean on squadrons to see how the game changes.
