Hello, I'm trying to adapt some of the army books for the minor factions in the Warhammer Armies Project, a website that is doing great work continuing the legacy of the old world. I've done Tilea and the Regiments of Renown. I didn't follow my usual formula when adapting these units into AoF's rules, I hunted down the old Dogs of War book with all of the unique Regiments of Renown and added them on the second page, so you can have crazy units like the Birdmen of Catrazza. Don't know where you can minis for them, but if are suitable ones I'd like to know. Here is a list of sources of miniatures for Tilea. warhammerarmiesproject.blogspot.com/2014/01/alternative-miniatures-dogs-of-war.htmlAoF - Tilea and the Regiments of Renown v1.20.docx (202.76 KB) AoFS - Tilea and the Regiments of Renown v....docx (193.98 KB) Update - 6/18/2021 Changed Table C from "Upgrade with any" to "Upgrade with one" since it allowed for a really powerful combination with Vendetta and Poisoner. Update - 6/27/2021 Changed Bodyguards to Guards and combined the the Guards and Footknights upgrade table, so Footknights and and Guards can use either Halberds or Great Weapons.

Dude, I was actually thinking about doing this myself. This is absolutely fantastic; I'll just use this list instead.
Thanks for making and sharing this! Might have to make some mercenary models now... 🤔

upgrade E for wizard should be Wizard(2).
I like the upgrades to units Defense. Lots of skills for heroes, so they can be more different. Ambusher for 90 pts looks costly.

Just made a quick fix to the wizard, I thought about including more of the Quirks of Characters from the original work but a lot of them didn't have have stuff that had equivalent rules for AoF or were only minor upgrades. As for the Ambusher, hell yeah it should be costly! It can make an entire unit have Ambush, which is especially devastating in regiments.

It can make an entire unit have Ambush, which is especially devastating in regiments. game last 4 rounds (its pretty good length, after that the fate of battle is obvious == no more exciting)
ambush make you deploy in the second turn, 12" away from any enemy == you cannot charge anyone in second round.
this means the surprise of ambush cost you 2 turns (half of game) of being inactive with your valuable unit (+hero).
yes it has some benefits, you don't risk a suffering from shooting or nasty spell (12" range of spells make them quite unreliable anyway, you need to come pretty close with your wizard, who is always very fragile). and when you emerge at back or at good location to capture the objective it can decide the battle outcome, but 90 pts is 90 pts - its almost 1 more regiment.

Well, the cost comes from the Points Calculator. There's an equivalent rule for it in the Sea-Elves or Beastmen. As for my own personal use, I'd rather pay the 90pts for ambush and put the hero in the Freelancers then get another unit of Mercenaries.
