I recently discovered these wonderful rules and put some ideas down for using them with my 28mm Samurai collection, for games set during Japan's Age of War (late 1500s). These haven't been played yet so are just a WIP---enjoy. One Page Rules: Sengoku Jidai

Porters rules are awesome.

Thanks Lagi! They have proved fun on the table, too. I mainly wrote them because most of the manufacturers for the period---Perry, AW, Kingsford---all provide porters carrying boxes of ammo and water jugs, and I wanted to use them in game as more than decoration.
After a couple more playtests I'll have an updated version of the rules.

@jordy, sorry, not lately! I got caught up in preparing for the school year (I teach at a community college) and my Japanese games are waiting for me to paint more reinforcements. How do the amendments look to you?

Nice work Grignotage! Would you keep it "historical" or would you consider adding in fantasy stuff like Oni, Okami, other demons, spirits etc.? Been reading the Yojimbo Usagi comics, so inspired
