Hey all, I've been playing 40k and AoS for 2 - 3 years now and the new editions make me feel like I need to learn something new alllll over again, with power creep just getting harder and harder. A friend told me about one page rules and I read them recently, and I'm super interested in them, been looking to take my collection from storage and dust em off again. My only issue is that I only have a dining table and I don't really have access to the full war gaming tables that the game calls for. Could someone tell me what they think of the kitchen table rules modification? I'd love to know a little bit more and hear from some peopel before I drop some money on a sub Thanks guys!

35 inches by 58 inches, I know they call for 48 by 48 for the killteam/warcry variant, But the full grim fight i think is 6' by 4'
Thanks for getting back to me:)

There are rules for smaller table size in the full rulebook, if I recall correctly. Honestly your table would be fine for either Skirmish or Firefight. I've played fine on a 30" x 3 0" card table.

Thanks! I might go for those just cause storing armies would be a lot easier

Well. You go pretty far by saying the deployment zone is only 6". And that you need 24" apart. Then 35" is not much of an issue. Also you could have the option to move onto the board turn 1 for any unit that do not wish to deploy first turn.
Then I think you'll get a pretty standard one page experience still.
The width is not much of a issue.
You could also have 5 turn game with no units starting on the board and teleportation starts first turn 3.

I never had a 6x4 table, I just place a big piece of MDF on it. it costs 15 euros at the hardwarestore, ... Saw it in 3 pieces for easy storage.

3'x3' (or 36"x36") is a reasonable play area for a lot of games, and a terrain mat of that size will fit on most dining room tables (albeit with the leaf added in in a pinch).
