Hello, new to Warfleet, with a few questions to the Alliance Defender squadron rule: 1) it says that enemies count as engaged when they move within 4" of the Defender squadrons. But is the engage status mutual, or is the Defender still allowed to move since it is not within 2" of an enemy squadron?
2) can the defender and the enemy squadron shoot each other when the enemy is engaged at 4" with the defender squadron, even though most squadrons, the defender squadron included, only have a 2" gun?

1) I would say only the enemy is engaged and the defender Squadron is not engaged, since it is not within 2" of an enemy Squadron. 2) No, they don't get a range extension just because they are engaged.
