Do rules like Chosen (or anything that adds +1A) just add one vanilla attack with no AP or is it an extra attack with whatever weapon the model is equipped with?
Was furious basically nerfed a bit?
Chosen and Mark of War (furious) are both 5pts but Chosen is strictly better. Is this just a translation from full squads to kill team issue?
Thanks again. Want to get everything right tonight.
Edited because I just realized a Havoc brother could take both obviously.
So I assume Chosen and veteran grant you +1 attack with whatever weapon they are equipped with and furious (as written) is one vanilla hit with no AP (which is a bit of a nerf). Just want to clarify because we have an Ork player who really wants this clarified.
Furious was not nerfed, but was changed a bit. Now it can't be modified by spells anymore, so you always have the same bonus.
That being said, we never really clarify in the rules whether the +1A adds a vanilla attack or is an attack with whatever weapon the model has. For the moment I think you should play however feels most natural and go from there.
Anyway I will have to go back to the drawing board and find a way to clarify this once and for all.
Okay. Thanks. We are having our first game tonight playing with Tough properly as well (somehow we had misinterpreted tough in a way that gave 4 wounds) so I have been holding off with battle reports because they have been tainted. 😅
Whatever way we decide to treat +1A I will make clear in the report from tonight.
I put out the text and everyone in the group is feeling like the hit from furious and the attack from chosen or veteran should also get the AP from the weapon held (since the cost was paid for the better weapon anyways). Plus we are fine with bloody games. So I will report back how that shakes out.
