I have a question about this rule: "Whenever a unit takes wounds which brings it down to half or less of its total size or tough value, then it must take a morale test. The unit takes a Quality test and if failed it is Wavered until the end of its next activation. Wavered units have -1 to their attack rolls in melee and may only pivot during their next activation. Units in melee only take morale tests if they have a lower melee result, and if they fail a morale test whilst down to half or less of their total size or tough value, then they Rout (remove the unit from play)"
Lets say i range-attack a unit and bring its size from 10 to 4.The unit makes a morale-test and fails. It is only wavered right? Same thing, but in melee it would be routed. So it is impossible to rout a unit in ranged attacks?
As it's written I believe that's correct. However, you could house-rule that a failed Morale test on a unit that is currently Wavered is a Rout. It may make units susceptible to a 'double-tap', but any unit below half-strength taking more wounds is not likely very happy about things!
